Most of us ask ourselves, should I start looking after my skin in my twenties and early thirties? The short answer is, yes. Between the age of 20 and 35, you should be preparing your skin to minimise the effect of ageing later in life.
On our latest Instagram Live event, our founder Esther Fieldgrass discussed with
Dr Ivona Igerc about what you can do to stop and minimise the effects of ageing from a young age. This included outlining the best practice in terms of skincare, surgery and lifestyle.

Best skincare products to use during your twenties
Ensuring our face and body skin is well-kept during our twenties is pivotal for later in life.
A great tip for ensuring our skin is protected and kept youthful, is the use of an SPF product all year round. Although you can use a conventional SPF product, you should ensure the product has an SPF rating of at least 30, preferably 50+ such as
Omni by Esther Sunshine Block SPF 50+. Our recent blog post,
“Do I Need SPF All Year Round?”discussed this in more detail.
On top of ensuring our skin is protected from harmful UV rays, in your twenties, you should be aiming to slow down the ageing process wherever possible. With a great routine and the right product for your skin, you can effortlessly slow down the ageing process.
Alphascience Tannic [CF] Anti-Aging Serum can future proof your skin in this way. This unique formula has a high concentration of Vitamin C, L-Ascorbic Acid, Tannic Acid, Ferulic Acid and Ginko Biloba. When applied, this formula can prevent the early signs of ageing in youthful skin such as wrinkles, brown spots and loss of firmness and is suitable for dry and sensitive skin.
Should you go to a medical spa?
Dr Ivona Igerc concurs that in current times, nearly everyone wants to get some kind of treatment but it may not entirely be necessary.
In the late twenties, Dr Ivona Igerc tells us this is when we should start looking at injectable treatments such as
Profhilo. Described as “hygiene of the skin” Profhilo is a ground-breaking bioremodelling injectable treatment that seamlessly helps redefine and hydrate your skin.
Preparing for pregnancy
Within the UK, the most popular age for giving birth is the very late twenties and early thirties. Giving birth can be incredibly strenuous on your body and affects us all in different ways.
Mesotherapy may be required for post-pregnancy, this unique treatment nourishes and rejuvenates your skin using micro-needles, that induce vitamins into your skin, helping to reduce cellulite, localised fat and to tighten skin.
Another non-invasive treatment is our well-recommended
3D SkinLift. This treatment is perfect for tightening post-pregnancy bellies and can also be used to constrict and lift the face, jaw and neck.
