With the start of Summer, most of us are looking to include more clean and healthy recipes to feel healthy and fit in time for our holidays!

Nothing helps to reset and recharge your digestive system like a delicious super-food power smoothie. Smoothies are a great way to start the day and get lots of nutrients in. Smoothies are also release energy slowly and are very quick to do in the morning, especially for those who work all day or for the mummies who only have a few minutes to themselves in the mornings.

Whether you you just back from holiday, drank too much alcohol on the weekend, want to boost your immune system or just want to eat a bit healthier, smoothies are the easiest way to pack a ton of nutrition into your meal.

These smoothies are so simple and can also be swapped for your favorite fruits and veg!

1 celery
1 handful of spinach
1 handful of kale
1 apple
1 lemon (Add lemon juice to taste)
1/2 a cup of cold water
Cucumber chunks
A pinch of fresh ginger (optional)
Avocado (Optional and adds thickness)

1 or 2 scoops of your favourite protein powder
1 handful of spinach
Water or milk
1 frozen banana (optional)

If you want to add more sweetness, some natural sweetners that you could add are  bananas, agave, honey and dates! If you don't particularly like the liquids mentioned above, other options include coconut water, water, any milk of your choice, yogurt or Kefir (which will add thickness!)
